A night at AI Get Together
Two hours.
Then the bar's still open.
Same times, every week, so you never have to check. It starts on time and the structured part ends on time. There's no speaker and no agenda beyond what's on this page.
Minute by minute
How it goes
- 1
Names, fast
One sentence each. What you're working on, not where you work. No credentials.
- 2
Who's stuck on what
A few people say out loud what they're trying to get past. That's how the room finds each other.
- 3
Everyone builds
The long stretch. Laptops open, people moving between tables, nobody watching.
- 4
Show what moved
Anything counts. It doesn't have to work. It gets counted either way.
- 5
Raffle, then go home
One drawing every night, and a go bag for everyone on the way out. Then it ends on time. Most people stay and keep working.

House rules
- 01
No selling
Not to each other, not to us. Anybody can be here for any reason except that one.
- 02
No experts
Nobody has been doing this twenty years. The tools didn't exist.
- 03
Bring something you're stuck on
You'll leave with it further along than when you walked in.
- 04
What gets said here doesn't leave with your name on it
Talk about your business freely. That's the point of a small room.
The two halves of the room
Who shows up
- —
People who build
Developers, tinkerers, people who taught themselves last spring and haven't stopped.
- —
People who run things
Owners and operators trying to work out what any of this does for a real business.
Both groups need each other, and neither one usually gets in the same room as the other. That's most of why this works.
